Yes, I can confirm that they block port 25. I have Bellsouth DSL as well.

I'd suggest just setting up a couple SSH tunnels when traveling.

Not only do they allow it, but they require it at this point. All my
neighbors were calling me and complaining that none of their mail was
working at one point, so I went around and fixed all their Outlook
Express settings one night... Got some good cookies and stuff for it.
