I don't remember the who/where about this, but I read an article in Popular Mechanics last year about a scientist who has adapted inkjet printer technology to building walls from either adobe or concrete and at the time of the article could build a 5' x 3' wall up to 1' thick!
Of course, inkjet technology has spanned multiple industries from printing to biomedical to chemistry, and will continue to evolve into more areas, given its versatility!
